Confirmation Program and Schedule 2025-26
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mercer Island WA
• Classes are taught by Pastor Rhonda Bostrom and Faith Formation Director Julia Glassy
• Bring your Bible to class every time, 6th graders: You will receive your Confirmation Bible in class on Wednesday, Sept. 3
• Snacks and Refreshments will always be provided
• We will always start and end class in the Gathering Place @ HTLC (right across the hall from church office)
• Our classes this year will involve watching a movie about the Reformation and video clips that help us understand more about being a Lutheran Christian. We will read our way through a comic book and work book on the Reformation, as well as the Bible. We’ll share highs and lows, pray together, become friends, grow in faith and much more!
• 12 Worship and Sermon reports are required throughout the year – pick those up at the Sanctuary entrance. Complete and return to Pastor Rhonda.
• Director Julia also has opportunities for youth fellowship, service and lots of fun! Look for her publications!
• You will be invited to serve in worship and/or at church activities throughout the year! We are looking forward to an awesome year together!

Please gather up any new or gently used winter clothing items for our partners at Wellspring. Think coats, winter hats, jogger pants, hoodie sweatshirts, warmer socks. Any size will do – from children to adult. More info as we get closer.

We will also burn the palm branches from last year’s Palm Sunday processional in a small fire pit in the lower parking lot. These ashes from the fire will then be made into the ash and oil mixture for Ash Wednesday on February 18. Your child will smell like camp fire when you pick them up. Sorry about that
