Congregational Meeting
Sunday, May 18 at 9 am
On May 18, 2008 at 9 am, we will have the Semi-Annual Meeting of the congregation. The purpose of this regularly scheduled congregational meeting will be to:
1) Elect new officers, council members, and sub-committee members. A list of the candidates and their history with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church can be found here.
2) Adopt the new by-laws of the congregation.
3) Receive updates from committees regarding recent activities and plans.
This is an important opportunity for every member of the congregation to help construct the future of Holy Trinity. All members are encouraged to attend.
A special note to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church:
What a splendid day for the MS Walk on April 13! What a wonderful problem to have so many walkers with me that I couldn’t be with everyone! What an equally splendid problem to have over 125 thank you notes to write for the donations given to Team Piehl!
Although I have been a member of Holy Trinity for 15 years, I didn’t grow up in a church community. My health and faith journey this past year with my MS diagnosis left me feeling quiet, alone, introspective. Then along comes Team Piehl, organized by the church, encouraged by the church, nurtured by the church. All I could think was, “You would do that, for me?” Yes, I learned, you would. And you did. I have truly experienced the power of community.

Tea Bag mailing total to date: $5405 and counting. The ‘cloudy day’ car wash made $373 … Thanks to everyone for being so supportive! We’re ½ way to my fundraising goal of $10, 000!!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
Saturday, June 14th
is “Dad’s Day” at the Mariner game.
We have 20 tickets available for kids to take dad ‘out’ to this evening game.
Let Kathy know if you want one or two, or more!
The Mariners are giving away t-shirts to dads that night...
and don’t worry, you all have some ‘spunky Lutheran’ items, too! ($25pp)
