Lunch Bunch celebrates its 7th anniversary!
The brainchild of Pam Reim and Kathy Fisher, Lunch Bunch began seven years ago as a monthly luncheon event to bring Holy Trinity seniors together for food and fellowship. As the event grew in popularity and moved from the Atrium to the Fellowship Hall, Althea Esterly and Beth Larsen took over as organizers. Today, Darlene Craig and Naomi Nothstein continue the tradition.
Speakers and topics have ranged from a Nordic heritage presentation, to a demonstration by the Covenant Shores exercise group, to a report from the El Milagro team about one of the El Salvador trips. Delicious food and warm hospitality have always been hallmarks of Lunch Bunch, made possible by our many members who have planned the menu, cooked, baked, donated groceries, brought table linens and silver, driven guests, served, cleaned, and so much more!
Questions may be directed to Naomi Nothstein (206-232-3058) or Darlene Craig (206-236-0038). The signup sheet will be posted in the Narthex several Sundays ahead of time.
Come and enjoy - these luncheons are open to all ages!
Knit and Crochet for our high school seniors!
Yarn lovers - we need you!! If you are a knitter or crocheter (or want to learn) we need you to help get our Graduation blankets ready for 2008! We will have 15 graduates this year - plus 5 blankets will be needed for our Compass Cascade "Easter baskets". That's 1078 rectangles!
- If you are experienced, there are lots of rectangles already made. It would be great if you could gather a pile of those and knit/crochet additional rectangles to complete a blanket. We want to use up what we have!
- There is lots of yarn in Kathy's office if you're raring to go!
- Do you want to learn how to knit or crochet? We'll do our best to teach you!
- Kathy has lots of supplies and instructions in her office!
If you have questions, call Kathy (206-232-3270) or email kfisher at htlcmi dot org
