CONFIRMATION NEWS AND UPDATES

Girl Power:

Tuesday, August 10^th our confirmation class for 2010, which happens to be all young women, will have a one day retreat. Plan to meet at HTLC at 10 am, we will return at 6 pm. Bring a Bible, a pen/pencil, a little backpack and a happy face!

 Parents and students, look for a letter outlining the schedule for meetings and projects as students prepare to be confirmed in October. The Confirmation Dinner will be on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Confirmation is on Reformation Sunday, October 31.

We’re looking for VBS Junior Counselors (students entering 6^th – 12^th grade) !! Is that YOU??? Please register (forms are on Kathy’s door) . Vacation Bible School is August 16 – 20. We will have a Counselor BBQ on August 15.  We will be doing an environmental service project during the week.

Our confirmation students will continue to serve as acolytes and crucifers on Sunday mornings. These dates will be assigned, and the assignment chart will be sent to you periodically. If you are not able to make your date as acolyte or crucifer, please find a substitute and inform the church office no later than noon on the Thursday before your scheduled date.

8th graders, you are also able to serve as assisting ministers.
