Deep Thoughts
“Deep Thoughts” will be once a month during the 10 am worship! Plan to be in the Youth Room Sunday, September 18 at 10 AM for our Bible Study (we will meet in the youth room, return to worship for communion).
High School and Middle School Students
You can be Sunday School and/or Nursery Helpers! If you would like to assist in a Sunday School classroom, contact Julie Duffie or let Kathy Fisher know. If you would like to help Julie Newcomer in the nursery, talk to her and fill out the application form. She can schedule you in! Kathy is also looking for craft room helpers for 9 am on Sundays.
2012 Mission Trip/National Youth Gathering
This adventure is open to all current 8th – 11th grade students. The mailing has gone out with information and ELCA registration forms. (more are available on Kathy’s door). Are you planning to attend? Kathy needs the forms and $315 by September 25. Scholarships will be available, talk to Kathy about that.
When I know how many students are planning to attend, I will know how many chaperones I need. (7:1 ratio). So, adults, please let me know if you are interested in chaperoning as well.
Thanks to Laurie Sperber (Youth Committee Chair) for her work on the September 17 auction. We are hoping this one event will raise enough money to offset costs. If you are planning on attending the Gathering, you and your family will be expected to par ticipate in the auction. (read more about the auction on the ‘auction report’)
